| Objective: Omaha High: to make the best five-card hand you can make from exactly three of the five cards on the board, plus exactly two of your own cards. In High/Lo play the hand with the 5 lowest cards, from 8 down, using exactly three of the five cards on the board and exactly two of your own cards, splits the pot with the best high hand.
Basic Play: Omaha works with the standard clockwise rotation of blinds used in Hold'em, with use of a dealer button and big/small blinds. Each player is dealt 4 cards face down. There is a round of betting. Now if any players remain 3 community cards are turned over followed by a round betting. Remaining players then see a 4th community card turned over followed by another round of betting. Then, if any players remain, a 5th and final community card is turned over and is ensued by a final round of betting. After betting is over players reveal there cards in clockwise order starting in the position right after the button. |
